Antique Folk Art Box Bench with Spindles & Tulips

A rare folk art box bench, beautifully decorated with tulips and floral motifs set against a warm black painted ground. The surface shows attractive wear and a rich, authentic patina. The hinged seat lifts to reveal a useful storage compartment within. Constructed in pine with hardwood uprights, it is solid and sturdy in form, standing 46cm high.
