Paul Guiramand (1926-2008) was a French painter and theatre set designer renowned for his vibrant and expressive works. He studied at L'École des Beaux-Arts, where he was influenced by notable artists such as Brianchon, Picasso, and Matisse. His travels through Spain and Italy enriched his artistic perspective, culminating in his first exhibition at Marlborough Fine Art in London. During this period, he resided primarily at the Villa Medicis in Florence, sharing the space with notable artists like Tilson, Francis Bacon, and Corpora.
In 1954, Guiramand began collaborating with Charles Sorlier, a master printer at Mourlot’s Atelier, and embarked on creating a series of lithographs. His work garnered attention and was showcased in prestigious galleries and museums, including Galerie Taménaga in Osaka, Japan.
