Notably, he transformed the principal female figure positioned to the left of the frame, imbuing her with a more classical linear style and utilizing a palette of more subdued colours. Renoir also introduced the background elements and added the umbrellas themselves to create a harmonious and captivating composition that bridged the gap between Impressionism and classical artistry.
