C.1660 Map of the World in Two Hemispheres Framed Prints

These are meticulously restored maps of the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, originally hand-coloured to delineate geographic regions. These copperplate engravings have been digitally revitalised by piecing together the original 12 sheets per hemisphere. Although their exact date remains unspecified, the depiction of states and treaties in these maps indicates that they likely originate from the mid-1600s, providing a valuable glimpse into the cartographic history of that era.

These antique pieces have been remastered to restore damage, and bring back the original colours and then printed with archival grade methods to ensure the highest quality and prevent ageing.

Framed ready to hang. The standard frame is depicted in the pictures but other frames are available on request.
